Work is expected to start later this year.

I was told about six months ago that it was expected to go to tender. What is the reason for the hold-up since? Is the money available? Kerry County Council state that they have cleared all matters.

I would like to point out to the Deputy that he is misinformed. Kerry County Council have not yet formally agreed to take over the work when completed. A form of agreement was sent to them on 20th October, 1976. They have been reminded by the Office of Public Works and by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries about this.
