Departmental employees recruited without competition 2 speeches

The members asked for staffing figures and the number hired without public competition. The Minister said the information would be placed on the record; excluding transfers from other departments, only part-time cleaners and messengers had been recruited, all more than six months earlier.

andMr. MacSharry asked the Minister for the Gaeltacht the number of people employed in his Department in each of the last four years; the number of people employed in each of the same years without having taken part in a public competition; and the number of people employed in the past six months without having taken part in a public competition.
