asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the need for an industry in west Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of the need for further industrial development in west Waterford. I can assure the Deputy that the Industrial Development Authority are maintaining their efforts to attract new industries to the area. The authority own an industrial site at Tallow which is being actively promoted with a view to securing a suitable project.
