asked the Minister for Transport and Power the reason for the delay in dealing with the application for electricity by a person (name supplied) in County Galway.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that the residence of the person in question is located in the board's Ballinlough rural area where, because of prior commitments, work under the 1971-75 scheme of rural electrification did not commence until October, 1976. The board add that the applicant's premises will, it is expected, be connected to the electricity supply within the next three months.
