asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the poor quality of telephone service in the areas of Tubber, Ardrahan and Kinvara, County Galway; and the measures he proposes to take to improve the situation.

Some telephone lines in these areas were damaged recently by lightning. Because of the nature of the damage there was some delay in effecting the necessary repairs to all the lines.

Additional trunk circuits are required at Kinvara and will be provided within the next six months.
