asked the Minister for Education if his Department have had a request for the provision of a girls' secondary school at St. Vincent's, Peacock Lane, Cork city; and, if so, when he expects to be in a position to give a decision on the matter.

My Department have approved the erection of a new secondary school at St. Vincent's, Peacock Lane, Cork city. Tenders for the new building are being sought at present.
