asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in respect of County Donegal (a) the number of applications received to date under the farm modernisation scheme (b) the number accepted (c) the number rejected and (d) the number under consideration.

On 28th February, 1977 2,837 persons in County Donegal had applied to participate in the farm modernisation scheme. The number of these applicants accepted as eligible for the scheme was 2,497 and 97 had been deemed ineligible. A further 243 applications were still under investigation on that date.
