asked the Minister for Local Government the present position in regard to the construction of the Santry by-pass in Dublin; and when work will commence on this long outstanding undertaking.

This is one of the elements in the major road recommendations of the Dublin Transportation Study which are at present being reviewed by the Dublin city and county manager and I cannot anticipate the outcome of that review.
