asked the Minister for Finance if, in accordance with the recent decision of the OECD Council of Ministers, he will indicate the economic strategy objectives of the Government for 1978 relative to GNP, domestic demand and balance of payments as notified to OECD.

The economic objectives of the Government for 1978 are as outlined in its election manifesto, and the OECD is being informed of them. I expect that the faster growth in 1978 called for in the manifesto will be accompanied by some increase in the balance of payments deficit on current account.
