Proposed Agriculture Legislation
The Minister outlined legislation planned before Easter 1978, including amendments concerning dairy produce, agricultural research and advisory services, pigs and bacon, fresh meat, and land bonds.
asked the Minister for Agriculture the purpose and title of each item of legislation he proposes to introduce to either House of the Oireachtas before Easter 1978.

A Dairy Produce (Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Bill is already before the House. It is hoped to introduce also a Bill to amend the National Agricultural Advisory Education and Research Authority Act and it is possible that before Easter, 1978 legislation may also be introduced to (a) amend the Pigs and Bacon Acts and Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Acts and (b) to extend the authorised limit on the creation of land bonds.
