Rape and indecent assault law reform

Summary

O’Keeffe raised the need for law reform to reduce the stress on victims; the Minister asked him to submit a separate question, and he agreed.

Jim O'Keeffe Mr. O'Keeffe Fine Gael

Has the Minister any suggestions on possible law reform in relation to rape and indecent assault, bearing in mind the stress and strain that these cases cause to the victims? This is a growing problem——

Comment on this

I fully understand the gravity of the situation, but if the Deputy wants to widen the question to include possible law reform I suggest he should put down a separate question.
