asked the Minister for Education if he has any proposals for the payment of expenses and subsistence allowances to members of town and city vocational education committees.

Proposals in this matter had been before the Department for some time and acceptance of them had not been authorised. I have given instructions for urgent reconsideration of the matter.

Is the Minister hopeful that these expenses will be paid to members of town and city vocational education committees?

I am always hopeful in regard to money but I cannot always be sure.
