asked the Minister for Justice if he has received representations from the Mayfield Community Council requesting the provision of a Garda station in the Mayfield area of Cork city; and the action, if any, that has been taken in the matter.

I have been unable to trace any record of receipt of representations on the lines indicated. However, it is proposed to erect a Garda station in the Mayfield area of Cork city and the Office of Public Works are at present seeking a suitable site for the new station.
