asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy if, when the present rural electrification scheme is completed, he intends to review the situation with a view to supplying people in remote areas who did not qualify under the present scheme.

I am very conscious of the plight of rural householders, especially those living in remote areas, who for one reason or another have not obtained supply of electricity, and I am reviewing the situation in the light of all relevant circumstances.
