Written Answers. - Howth Harbour Development.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of pleasure boats that moor in Howth Harbour, County Dublin at present; the number that will be able to moor in the harbour when it has been developed, as currently envisaged; and if this development will diminish the harbour's facilities for recreational boating activities.

George Colley Minister for Finance (Mr. Colley) Fianna Fáil

There are at present approximately 160 pleasure boat moorings in Howth Harbour. About 40 of those moorings will be affected by the harbour development scheme and the question of resiting those affected moorings is being investigated. It is not expected that the development scheme will diminish facilities for pleasure boat activities.
