Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Juvenile Offenders.

asked the Minister for Health his Department's policy on the care of juvenile offenders; and if he sees any conflict between his Department's role and that of the Department of Justice in the care of juvenile offenders.

Comment on this

Responsibility for the care of juvenile offenders is a matter for the Departments of Justice and Education. My Department are concerned with the care of deprived children. There are well-established liaison arrangements operating between the three Departments and I do not see any conflict between the respective roles.
