asked the Minister for Fisheries if Rossaveal Quay, County Galway has been designated the principal fishing port for the west of Ireland.

I am examining proposals to declare Rossaveal a major fishery harbour for the west of Ireland. I hope to be in a position to make a statement in the matter shortly.

By "shortly" has the Minister in mind weeks or months?

It will be within a matter of very few months.

By mid-summer, perhaps?

Yes.
