asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport the present position regarding a grant to Sligo Harbour Commission for the dredging of Sligo Harbour and for a feasibility study for a deep water berth at Rosses Point, County Sligo; and when this case will be finalised.

The application for a full-cost State grant for (i) dredging of Sligo Harbour and (ii) a feasibility study into the provision of a deepwater berth at Rosses Point is currently under examination in my Department and I would hope to be in a position to announce a decision in the matter in the near future.
