asked the Minister for Labour if he has received any complaints regarding the dismissal of trade apprentices by some employers and the refusal of certain employers to permit the release of apprentices to attend outside courses.

Complaints are received by AnCO from time to time about such matters as the dismissal of apprentices and the failure of employers to release apprentices to attend training courses. All such complaints are investigated and every effort is made to secure compliance with the regulations governing the dismissal of apprentices or their release to attend technical schools and colleges.
