Education funding comparison
Kelly again presses the Minister on whether he has answered the questions about current funding and comparisons with other EEC countries. The Minister offers to circulate relevant data, while the Chair calls the next question.
I am finding it very hard to get a proper answer to this question. Would the Minister assert to the House that he has answered part (a) of the question and that he has answered part (c) of the question? I recognise that the Minister has answered part (b) by directing me to ongoing policy-making and so forth.

Part (c) if the existing pattern in general corresponds with or conflicts with patterns in other EEC countries apart from Britain.

The Minister is willing to answer this question, but the Chair is not willing for the House to hear him.

This is a hopeless situation, and I will have to take advice about bringing it further.

Could I undertake to circulate some data to the Deputy? It is really a question of the interpretation of the words "corresponds with or conflicts with". I will certainly supply the Deputy with a lot of data on this issue.
