Mulcair drainage scheme

The Minister said substantial work remains before a Mulcair drainage scheme can be formulated and could not say when it would reach the works stage.

asked the Minister for Finance the present stage of plans for the drainage of the Mulcair catchment area; if it is intended to commence work on the Mulcair when the work on the Maigue has been completed; and, if not, why.

A considerable amount of work remains to be done before a drainage scheme for the Mulcair catchment area can be formulated. At this stage I am unable to say when a scheme would reach the works stage.
