asked the Minister for Education on what date he received a request to meet a deputation from Roscommon vocational committee regarding the post-primary centre for Elphin, County Roscommon; if he will meet this deputation without further delay; and if he will make a full statement on the matter.

On 23 November 1977 County Roscommon Vocational Education Committee originally requested me to meet a deputation from them to discuss the Elphin post-primary centre and has since repeated the request. I would not wish to inconvenience the deputation by inviting them to see me except on the basis of being satisfied that doing so would serve a useful purpose. I am having the whole matter fully examined, with due consideration for the interest of the other school involved also. I shall write to the committee in the matter in due course.
