Garda overtime in Kerry
Begley sought assurance that overtime for Kerry gardaí would not be cut, citing unspent funds; the Minister said the separate issue should be raised in a later question. A brief exchange followed about the Minister’s holidays and whether the extra gardaí would cover him, before the Chair moved to the next question.
Will the Minister give the House an assurance that there will be no cutback on overtime for gardaí already in County Kerry in view of the fact that £300,000 was not spent in last year's Estimate?

If the Deputy would like to put the subject matter of that supplementary question—it is entirely separate from the question on the Order Paper—in a question for next week——

Not alone do I spend my holidays there but many of my family are there, as the Deputy knows.

Will the Minister give the House an assurance that the four extra gardaí will not be covering the Minister?
