Comment on this
The regulations under the Road Traffic Acts governing the licensing of taxis do not preclude the type of vehicle referred to in the Deputy's question and in fact I understand that vehicles of this type are at present being operated. The issuing of individual taxi licences is a function of the Garda Commissioner.
