Current harbour development programme
The Minister provided a tabular statement of current harbour projects and expected work. He said allocated funds would be spent this year, highlighting Castletownbere as the largest expenditure.
asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the extent of harbour development which is being carried out at present and the programme of work likely to be completed by the end of the year; the location of each project; and the capital cost in each case.

Can the Minister indicate to me from the tabular statement whether he is satisfied that the various moneys allocated to the various authorities will be expended this year?

Yes. The biggest expenditure is in relation to Castletownbere. I am concerned about getting industrial proposals going there despite the opposition of certain Deputies.
