asked the Minister for the Environment when it is proposed to provide details of the national primary route grant for 1979 to Kildare County Council, the absence of which is holding up the installation of road lighting schemes.

Road authorities will be notified of their road grant allocations for 1979 shortly. I am not aware of any public lighting scheme in County Kildare being held up pending notification of grants.
