Edenifeagh school transport

Summary

The Minister said investigations were complete and authorised CIE to introduce a new transport arrangement from 29 January 1979, which he hoped would satisfy all concerned.

asked the Minister for Education the progress which has been made in finding a satisfactory arrangement to meet the transport needs of children attending the Edenifeagh National School, County Donegal; and if, in view of the continuing school strike, he will direct that the reasonable claims of the parents be met without further delay.

Comment on this

The investigations to which I referred in reply to Questions Nos. 4 and 5 of 12 December 1978 have since been completed. Following consideration of the report on these investigations, I have authorised CIE to introduce an arrangement with effect from 29 January 1979 which, I hope, will prove satisfactory to all the interests concerned.
