asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the number of prosecutions brought by boards of conservators for pollution in each year since 1965, and the number of local authorities prosecuted, if any, each year.

These details relate to prosecutions taken by 14 of the 17 boards of conservators. In the time available it was not possible to ascertain the position in the case of three boards. A complete return will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
