Vocational education funding dissatisfaction

Summary

Deputy Horgan asked about general dissatisfaction with vocational education funding, which the Minister rejected. Deputy Ryan disputed that response, citing cuts in North Tipperary and across the country; the Chair deferred remaining questions.

Is the Minister aware that there is dissatisfaction generally in regard to the vocational educational schemes this year?

Comment on this

I do not accept that.

Comment on this

I regret to have to disagree with the Minister. He is incorrect in his statement. There has been a substantial decrease in the allocation in North County Tipperary and this is the same throughout the country.
