asked the Minister for Education why he has refused to meet a deputation from Birr, County Offaly, in relation to the local community school; and why he has also refused to meet the five Dáil Deputies representing the constituency on the issue involved.

As the Deputy is aware, I have already announced that, in view of the additional capital funds at my disposal this year, the building of physical education halls will be resumed.

It is not possible, as yet, to say where precisely these facilities will be provided this year.
