County Kildare unemployment figures
Bermingham requested exchange-level figures for Kildare, and Lalor said the latest available figures were for 23 February. Members asked whether national figures were also available; Lalor confirmed he had figures to that date but did not provide them.
asked the Taoiseach the number of unemployed persons registered at each employment exchange in County Kildare on the following dates, 1 March 1977; 1 March 1978 and 1 March 1979.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the required information for the most recent date for which it is available in 1979 and for corresponding dates in 1977 and 1978.

May we take it that there are national figures for unemployment as of 23 February? I have seen no figures later than 9 February.

In both instances I have figures up to 23 February so the Deputy may assume I have some of the national figures.
