asked the Minister for Education when approval will be given to the erection of the proposed extension to the Presentation Monastery Schools, Killarney, County Kerry, for which tenders were submitted in December 1978 and the reason why this decision is being delayed.

A review was undertaken during the course of the present school-year of the classroom accommodation requirements for pupils of national schools in Killarney and the extent of the accommodation already available. A report of a working party which considered the matter is to be submitted formally to my Department. Pending receipt of a formal submission from the relevant authorities and a full examination of all aspects of the question I am not in a position to make a statement in regard to the proposal for an extension to the Presentation Monastery Schools.
