asked the Minister for Education if he will extend the Oughterard post-primary school bus service from Maam Cross to the previous pick-up point in Maam Valley and if he will make a statement as to why the present change was made.

The locality the Deputy has in mind lies within the Cornamona post-primary centre. Since Cornamona is now recognised as a fully adequate centre, the operation of a route to Oughterard from the locality in question would not be warranted.
