Delay in refugees’ arrival

Summary

Keating and others criticized the prolonged wait and urged the Minister to cut red tape. Lenihan repeatedly said there was no delay on Ireland’s end, that arrangements were complete, and that the Government could not control events or transport in the Far East.

In view of the fact that this unfortunate international tragedy has been going on for many months, what is causing the delay?
