asked the Minister for Agriculture details of the EEC Commission's proposal for the marketing of compound feeding stuffs, when this was presented; and if he will make a statement outlining his views on the matter.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the Community Directive on the marketing of compound feeding stuffs, adopted by the Council on 2 April last, a copy of which is in the Library of the House. I am at present considering the measures to be taken in this country to implement the directive, which becomes operative on 1 January 1981.
