asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the 1979 telephone directory will be distributed.

(Dublin South-Central): Distribution of Part I commenced on 22 October 1979.

It is proposed to commence distribution of Part II before the end of November 1979.

Will we have it by 1980?

(Dublin South-Central): It will be out by November 1979.

Has the Minister any intention of perhaps skipping the year 1980 on the telephone book cover and putting 1981 on next year's telephone book cover which would mean that it might be out slightly in advance of the year and therefore might be relevant?

(Dublin South-Central): If we were to do that we would be omitting 20,000 to 30,000 numbers.
