Charleville and Churchtown sewerage schemes
The Minister sanctioned the Charleville scheme tender and council loan. Churchtown proposals are under consideration, but its high cost and competing priorities leave the timing of further planning uncertain.
asked the Minister for the Environment the proposals, if any, for the provision of a sewerage scheme for the Charleville/Churchtown area of County Cork and, if so, when sanction for same is likely to issue.

I have sanctioned the acceptance of tenders for Charleville sewerage scheme and the raising of a loan by Cork County Council to finance it.
Preliminary proposals for the Churchtown sewerage scheme are under consideration in my Department. Having regard to its high unit cost and the need to conserve capital for the schemes of highest priority, I cannot say when the further planning of this scheme may proceed.
