asked the Minister for Finance the progress made to date by the Office of Public Works in the provision of effective lighting at Skerries pier, County Dublin and the progress made in co-operating with the Department of Fisheries and Forestry in this matter.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been requested by the Department of Fisheries and Forestry to furnish an engineering report and estimate of cost of providing a new lighting system at Skerries pier. The report will be furnished as soon as possible, having regard to other engineering commitments. I hope to have the report furnished early in 1980.
