asked the Minister for the Environment when it is proposed to pay a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The latest date for claims for payment of grants allocated under the pre-July 1977 grants scheme was 31 January 1980. As a claim for payment of the grant in this case was not received by that date, I regret that payment cannot now be made.
