asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if he has received any complaints regarding a home heating apparatus (details supplied) if so, if such apparatus has been investigated by the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards for safety and efficiency standards and if the product has been judged satisfactory.

No complaints have been received by me in relation to the home heating apparatus in question. However, on the initiative of the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards certain tests are being carried out in the institute on the apparatus. I have asked the institute to hasten the completion of these tests.
