Tuam telephone exchange funding

Summary

The Minister said some allocated funds remained unspent because installation was incomplete, with the balance expected to be paid by early next year. The exchange included brief discussion and banter about expediting the work, followed by notice that Questions 35 and 36 would be answered in writing.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if the money allocated for the telephone exchange at Tuam, County Galway, has been spent to date and, if not, when it will be spent.

Comment on this

Since installation of the telephone exchange has not yet been completed, some of the money allocated for the telephone exchange project at Tuam has not yet been spent. The balance will be paid according as the work proceeds and it is expected that all payments will be made by early next year when work on the installation of the exchange should then be completed.
