The Minister said a complaint about inadequate dock capacity at Cleggan Harbour was under investigation and that no decision on State-funded improvements could yet be made.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry if his attention has been drawn to the inadequate facilities for fishing boats at Cleggan Harbour, County Galway and if he will outline his plans for improvements.

Comment on this

Representations have been received that the dock area at Cleggan harbour needs to be enlarged. I am having this complaint investigated. Until the investigation has been completed I cannot say what improvements, if any, will be carried out at Cleggan with the aid of a State grant.
