I understand the Land Commission hope to divide the lands referred to this year.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will outline the following details in respect of all lands held by the Land Commission on 1 March 1980 in County Longford: (a) the name of each holding, (b) the amount of land in each case, (c) the location of each holding, (d) the date of acquisition by the commission and (e) when it is proposed to allot these lands.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will outline the following details in respect of all lands held by the Land Commission on 1 March 1980 in County Westmeath: (a) the name of each holding, (b) the amount of land in each case, (c) the location of each holding, (d) the date of acquisition by the commission and (e) when it is proposed to allot these lands.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 234 and 235 together. The information requested is set out in the following tables. It is hoped that in the cases marked with an asterisk proposals for allotment can be finalised to permit allocation of the lands in whole or in part before the end of 1980. The remaining cases will be allotted as soon as possible thereafter.
