Ballycotton fishing-loss compensation

Summary

Quinn asked whether conservation funds could help Ballycotton fishermen who lost part of their livelihood; the Minister gave no commitment, responding that a Labour Deputy could address it if in office.

If there happened to be a sea coast around Kildare does the Minister not think that the fishermen in Ballycotton might get some of that available money? They have lost part of their livelihood.

That is not a serious question.

If a Labour Deputy should ever find himself in my position he will be able to deal with that matter then.

Comment on this

That is great consolation to those concerned.
