asked the Minister for Education if his Department received a tender from County Roscommon VEC; if so, if he will sanction the tender as soon as possible, as it is within his Department's recommended cost limits; and if he will receive a deputation from the VEC regarding the urgency of the matter.

A report which was received on 20 May from Roscommon Vocational Education Committee on tenders submitted to them is under consideration.

Pending the result of the examination of the documentation, it will not be possible to make a decision on the placing of a contract.

I have arranged to meet a deputation from the committee on 25 June in the matter.
