Taoiseach’s position on Irish National Caucus

Summary

Cluskey urged the Taoiseach to clarify his position on the Irish National Caucus, arguing it was in the national interest. The Taoiseach declined to address it under the US-visit question; the Leas-Cheann Comhairle said it was a separate question, and L’Estrange quipped that the home caucus mattered more.

Would the Taoiseach not consider it desirable to visit the US because there seems to be some concern and ambiguity regarding the Taoiseach's position in relation to the Irish National Caucus operating in America? If it is his intention to make a visit perhaps he would avail of the opportunity to make his position towards that organisation known now.

I do not think it arises on this question.
