Agenda for Greece visit

Summary

Quinn sought details of the Greek visit agenda. The Taoiseach said it was intended as a general exchange on mutual positions in the EEC, particularly Greek accession.

: In relation to Question No. 1, I would be obliged if the Taoiseach would be a little more specific in relation to the agenda for that meeting. I should like to know if an agenda had been agreed for that meeting. Is the Taoiseach in a position to indicate the items for discussion other than Greek accession?

Comment on this

: A specific agenda was not agreed. The purpose of the visit was, generally, for an exchange of views on our mutual position in the EEC, In fact, since that visit was cancelled the Greek Minister for Agriculture was here. I had discussions with him as had our Minister for Agriculture.
