asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the immense historical importance of the books and manuscripts of the O'Connor-Don family at Clonalis, Castlerea, County Roscommon, and the significant role which the family played in Irish history, he will arrange with the appropriate Departments or other authorities to ensure that the collection is acquired by agreement with the family for the nation.

While I have no information that the valuable papers at Clonalis are on the market, I will consider making appropriate inquiries on this matter.
