asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposal submitted to his Department by Kerry County Council on 5 May 1980 to extend the Castleisland sewerage scheme to the Tonbwee area.

Revised contract documents for stage 1 of the Castleisland sewerage scheme which are for the provision of a sewage treatment works were submitted to my Department on 29 August 1980. This documentation together with the preliminary proposals for stage 2, which includes proposals to service the Tonbwee area, are under examination.
