Emly sewerage scheme

Summary

Emly’s preliminary proposals, received in 1977, remain under consideration, with no decision date given because capital is reserved for higher-priority schemes.

asked the Minister for the Environment the up-to-date position concerning the urgent need to provide a sewerage scheme at Emly, County Tipperary; if he will give approval to the local authority to enable the scheme to commence without delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Comment on this

Preliminary proposals for the Emly sewerage scheme are under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the need to conserve the capital available for water and sewerage schemes of the highest priority, I cannot say when I will be in a position to convey a decision to the local authority on this scheme.
